Convert photos in your browser

No photo upload

Transparent areas are filled white in JPG output.

Conversion runs in this browser without uploading your photos. The HEIC/HEIF decoder loads only when needed. Static output may omit EXIF, location, HDR, depth data, or the video portion of a Live Photo. Keep the original. JPG and WebP quality settings affect detail and file size; PNG ignores the quality slider.

How do I convert HEIC to JPG?

  1. Keep the original HEIC, then choose up to five HEIC/HEIF photos here.
  2. Leave the output set to JPG. Start at 90% quality, then adjust only if you need a smaller file.
  3. Convert and download the result. For several files, use the ZIP option.
  4. Open the JPG and check its orientation, colors, pixel dimensions, and visible detail before deleting or sharing anything.

Does HEIC to JPG reduce quality?

JPEG conversion re-encodes the image. Keeping the same width and height does not guarantee identical pixels, and a larger JPG is not necessarily better. See our measured HEIC to JPG example for one reproducible comparison, not a promise about every photo.

Will it keep Live Photo, HDR, and metadata?

This tool exports a static image. It may omit EXIF, location, HDR, depth information, and the video part of a Live Photo. Keep the Apple original for editing and archives. For an important or sensitive photo, use Photos or Preview on your device and verify the exported file before sharing.

What if conversion fails?

Check that the file is an actual still HEIC or HEIF photo and is no larger than 30 MB. Some HEIF variants or damaged files may not decode. Use iPhone Preview or Mac Preview to export a JPEG if this browser cannot process it. Renaming a .heic file to .jpg does not convert its image data.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Conversion runs in the current browser tab, and this page has no photo upload endpoint. The HEIC decoder is downloaded only when a HEIC file is selected. Downloaded output remains under your control; refresh or close the page to clear the temporary results.
